Deloitte Legal assists Aurelius in the acquisition of Panasonic’s European consumer Battery Business

Deloitte Legal is proud to have assisted Aurelius regarding the acquisition of Panasonic's European Consumer Battery business. From its European sales headquarters in Zellik Belgium, Panasonic Consumer Energy operates two manufacturing facilities, one located in Belgium and one in Poland. Across its locations, Panasonic Consumer Energy today employs around 900 people and generated revenue of approximately EUR 230 million in 2019.

The transaction is subject to approval by the competent competition authorities and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021.

Deloitte Legal fielded a multidisciplinary engagement team drawn from its Belgian and Polish practices. The Deloitte legal team was led out of Belgium by Marc Van tieghem (Corporate M&A Partner), and further included Belgian core team members Hans Vansweevelt (Senior Associate) and Vincent De Munck (Junior Associate). The Polish core team was supervised by Robert Pasternak (Corporate M&A Partner) and further included Senior Associates Agata Jost and Jakub Labuz.
