Deloitte Legal-Lawyers announces Kathleen De hornois as Managing Partner

Kathleen De hornois, who started her career as a lawyer at DLA Piper before moving to bpost as senior legal counsel in charge of public and administrative law matters, currently heads Deloitte Legal’s public and administrative law team. With a background both as an attorney and a company lawyer, she has extensive experience in administrative law, public procurement, public-private partnerships, environment law, urban planning and real estate in general. Kathleen advises both public entities at local and European levels and private companies on different administrative law issues and represents them in court (both civil court as before the Council of State).

During her career, Kathleen has acquired strong operational and project management skills, and focusses on providing preventive, hands-on, concrete, pragmatic and specialised legal support.

After 9 years as Managing Partner of Deloitte Legal, Danny Stas, henceforth Belgian Leader of the Real Estate Industry, will focus on further developing and expanding the Real Estate offerings across Deloitte (Legal) as well as further increasing the awareness of Deloitte’s end-to-end role in the industry. He will also continue to head the tax advisory practice.

As a highly recognised VAT expert, he focuses on VAT consulting for clients in both the private and public sectors and the broad corporate market at national and international level. In addition, he also has a good knowledge of alternative financing of real estate and transfer duties.
